Donkeys Don't Play Hockey
Essential truths for
first-time entrepreneurs

You're playing a different game now
Helping first-time entrepreneurs
focus on priorities that matter
first-time entrepreneur (def'n): an individual who starts and runs a business for the first time with limited resources.

We are all like donkeys (me included) when we start a business for the first time. We have preconceived notions what we need to do. The media pays outsized attention to successful entrepreneurs who have large capital investments and a slew of employees.

A majority of entrepreneurs, however, don’t have any employees (72%.)** And most don’t have much money to start. It's to these entrepreneurs I speak to.

I’ve worked with thousands of entrepreneurs over two decades (and ran 3 businesses) helping them focus on priorities that matter. There are a multitude of pitfalls first-time entrepreneurs can easily fall into. This can lead to confusion and dampen one’s spirit.

However, when you’re clear on where to focus your energies your entrepreneurial spirit comes alive. Be forewarned, you will be making a transformative change in who you are. The identity shift is dramatic, like going ‘from being a donkey to becoming a hockey player’ (yes, I know, it sounds crazy but true.)
